Warning / Clone firms

Fraud warning

Fraudsters copy the names, logos and websites of real investment services. This page tells you how to tell a genuine Bold Reckonavence contact from a fake one, and what to do if you suspect a scam.

How clone firms work

A clone firm builds a website that mirrors ours, sometimes with our exact text, and contacts people by phone, email or social media claiming to be from the platform. The details are close enough to look real: the name is right, the logo is right, and the presenter knows real market news. The account you would pay into is not ours.

We never cold-call with investment offers, never ask you to move money to a "safe account", and never contact you through personal messaging apps to chase a deposit. Advisers call only at times you have booked, from numbers you can verify, and every document we send comes from our own domain.

Warning signs to act on

  • Pressure to deposit quickly, or a bonus that "expires today" in an unsolicited message.
  • Requests for payment in gift cards, crypto transfers to a private wallet, or cash couriers.
  • Anyone asking for your password, one-time codes or remote access to your device.
  • Guarantees of profit or claims that losses are impossible. Genuine trading always carries risk.
  • Contact details that differ from the ones published on this site.

If you suspect a scam

Stop all contact, do not send further funds, and write to us immediately so we can warn other users. If you have paid money or shared banking details, contact your bank straight away and report the matter to Action Fraud, the UK's national fraud reporting service. Where a payment is disputed, your bank can advise on the chargeback or recall process.

Verify before you pay: if a message claiming to be from Bold Reckonavence asks you to move money, end the conversation and reach us through the published details above before acting. A few minutes of checking costs you nothing at all; a payment sent to a clone firm is rarely recovered in full, and often not at all.
